Acrylic Panels - We use acrylic panels to create high visibility for the individual in the bed, to eliminate the feeling of claustrophobia. Acrylic is 10 times stronger than glass. It is optically clear to eliminate visual distortion. The panels allow good caregiver visibility.

Bed Assembly - Bed assembly is very simple and the directions are step by step with illistrations and pictures. Two people are required as some of the parts are heavy. Average assembly time is 30 minutes.

Bed Care & Maintenance - The bed can be cleaned with a mild water & soap solution. The bed can be waxed once a year with a paste wax. Do Not Use spray cleaners as they dry out the wood. Do not use glass cleaner on the acrylic panels. Use water and a microfibre cloth to clean the acrylic panels.
Hardware Check - Each year, visually inspect the bed for loose hardware, gaps between the panels or safety rails that are not functioning properly. Tighten any loose hardware. Your safety bed should last a long time, but in the event you have a improperly functioning part, contact us to get a replacement. Do not use the bed if you find something wrong with the bed.

Billing Medicaid - We do not bill medicaid or insurance companies. We have published guidelines for submitting your claim request. Please click on the Insurance link on page menu on the above right side of the page.

FDA 7 Zones of Entrapment -  Our safety beds meet or exceed the FDA 7 zones of entrapment. Click on the Bed Safety link on the above right side of this page for details on how we meet the FDA 7 zones of entrapment guidelines.

Return Policy - When your bed is built, we take every precaution to make sure the bed is correct before it leaves our shop. Because the bed is made as fine furniture from wood products, it is easy to damage the product in return shipping. We package our bed very carefully to assure the bed arrives in perfect shape. A damaged, scratched or used bed is not resellable. We therefore do not accept returns on our products once the boxes have been opened. It is extremely important that you verify your order when you receive a quote from us.

If the boxes have not been opened, we will accept returns under the following conditions: There will be a 35% restocking fee and shipping costs are paid both to and from your location. If upon receipt of the product we find the boxes were opened or the product is damaged, additional charges will occur, unless the damage is due to the freight carrier.

Please be assured that we will stand behind our products and will correct any issues you may have as specified in our warranty ploicy.

Shipping Costs - Shipping is included in the continential United States. Note: There may be some remote areas that require delivery to the nearest shipping depot and would have to be picked up at that location, or additional charges may occur.

Shipping Methods - The bed boxes are large and ship by freight. When receiving the bed, you need to have 2 people to off load the boxes from the truck. If unloading assistance is required or delivery into the house, additional charges will apply.

The Right Bed for Me - We have 3 model beds and different options on each bed. Here is a brief summary of the bed models. Note: The following is a guide only. Please consult with your doctor or therapist to assure you get the correct bed for your needs.
The EasyCare Complete Safety Bed is designed primarily for small individuals that might stand in bed and need a high safety rail to keep them from falling out. It is not intended to contain individuals that climb.The mattress height to the floor is low making it wheelchair friendly. 
The EasyCare Medium Safety Bed is designed for individuals that might roll out of bed accidentially, but there is no concern of them standing up in bed. This bed has a floor to mattress height of 32" and used when handling and proper patient care requires a higher bed to adequately access the patient.
The EasyCareLo Safety Bed is designed for individuals that might roll out of bed accidentially, but there is no concern of them standing up in bed. This bed has a lower mattress to floor height making is wheelchair friendly.
Manual Articulation Option - is designed to allow for raising of the upper body and/or lower extremities using a manual hand crank system. The unit is easy to crank and offers a lower cost alternative to a semi-electric option.
Semi-Electric Option -   is designed to allow for raising of the upper body and/or lower extremities using an electric hand control.
Padding - Padding is optional on all bed models. the padding option must be selected at time of order. The bed dimensions are changed to accomodate the padding to assure there are no gaps or entrapment issues. Beds without padding cannot be retrofitted afterwards. Beds that have been made with padding cannot be used without padding as gaps would be present without the padding and create an unsafe entrapment condition.
IV Pole- IV poles can be mounted to the headboard of any bed. The position of the headboard, right or left side, must be selected at time of order.

Wood Type & Finish - Our beds are available in Cherry, Red Oak or Maple wood. We only use a clear finish to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.
